INDIANAPOLIS — The Kelley School of Business Evening MBA Program on IUPUI’s campus is ranked ninth among 323 part-time MBA programs in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings released today. This is the program’s sixth appearance in the top 10 since U.S. News started ranking part-time MBA programs in 2011.

“This ranking places the Kelley School Evening MBA Program among the best part-time MBA programs across the nation,” said Phil Powell, associate dean of academic programs at the Kelley School of Business on IUPUI’s campus. “Especially at IUPUI, the Kelley School graduates talent and disseminates knowledge that makes Indiana companies globally competitive. Our Evening MBA graduates lead the organizations that drive prosperity in the Indianapolis region. It is an honor to have the efforts of our faculty, staff, students and alumni nationally recognized for the impact they make in our community.”

“We are committed to creating an exceptional educational experience which helps high-potential professionals lead innovation as executive decision makers, and to do this, we will launch a redesigned curriculum this fall,” said  Kyle Anderson, faculty chair of the Evening MBA Program and clinical assistant professor of business economics. ” Students will learn the very latest in ground-breaking technologies that are disrupting business management, and while working as consultants, they will solve challenging, executive-level problems with Indianapolis companies.  Our mission is to transform lives through business education, and the Evening MBA Program is a defining experience in which our students emerge as confident, effective business leaders.”

“The #9 ranking reflects our emphases at Kelley to not only provide our students with the business knowledge they need to succeed, but also to train them to think strategically, to equip them with the ‘people skills’ they need, and to give them multiple real-world projects in which they can demonstrate their mastery of new skills and expertise, opening new doors in their careers.”

The U.S. News ranking, which is highly trusted, is based on five factors: average peer assessment score (50% of the overall score); average GMAT and GRE scores of students who entered in fall 2018 (15%); average undergraduate GPA of students who entered in fall 2018 (12.5%); years of work experience of students who entered in fall 2018 (10%) and the percentage of the school’s fall 2018 total full-time and part-time MBA enrollment that is in part-time program (12.5%).

Other ranked part-time MBA programs in Indiana include Purdue University (#57), Butler University (#89), Purdue University Northwest (#127), Indiana State University (#159) and Valparaiso University (#178).
