Hazelett Women in Leadership Forum features Dr. Ora Pescovitz

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—On Friday, October 25, the Randall L. Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence presents the eighth annual Hazelett Women in Leadership Forum with Dr. Ora Pescovitz, who will talk about My Path: Learning, Leadership & Life. The forum is co-sponsored by the IUPUI Office of the Chancellor and the Office for Women.

In 2009, Pescovitz became the University of Michigan’s first female executive vice president for medical affairs and Michigan Health System’s CEO. She is responsible for the oversight of $3.2 billion in revenue and $490 million in research funding. She is a nationally recognized pediatric endocrinologist and researcher, having published 184 papers and books. She was elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2011 and has received numerous awards for her research, teaching and leadership. 

Prior to her position at the University of Michigan, Pescovitz held an extensive career serving as the executive associate dean for research affairs at Indiana University School of Medicine, president and CEO of Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis and interim vice president for research administration at Indiana University. 

The program will be held at the Indiana History Center, 450 W. Ohio St. in Indianapolis at 5:00 p.m. It is free to the public, but registration is requested  on the Hazelett Forum website.

The Hazelett Women in Leadership Forum was established to honor the memory of Susie Hazelett, former executive director of the Randall L. Tobias Foundation. Its mission is to honor and learn from successful individuals who exemplify excellence in leadership and work to support the advancement of women in leadership roles.
