Kelley Indianapolis Evening MBA Program Ranked 11th in the Country

Posted on March 16, 2011 by Teresa Mackin

The Evening MBA Program at the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis maintained its status of one of the best programs in the country as judged recently by the U.S. News and World Report. The part-time program ranks 11th in the country and 5th overall among public universities.

The report ranks only the top 166 part-time MBA programs in the country. Other Indiana programs to be ranked included Purdue University (17), Butler University (105) and Ball State University (121).

“We’re extremely proud to once again make the list of the country’s best part-time programs. The rankings are a great honor, but, more importantly, they recognize the talent level of Kelley students, the global knowledge of our esteemed faculty, and the impact we continue to have each year on Central Indiana and beyond,” said Philip Cochran, Kelley’s associate dean for Indianapolis operations.

The rankings are based solely on a fall 2010 peer assessment survey that asked business school deans and MBA program directors at each of the nation’s 295 part-time MBA programs to rate other part-time programs. For more information about the rankings, please visit  here.

Cathy Bonser-Neal, chairperson of the Evening MBA program, expanded on the dean’s statement by stressing the invaluable network of Kelley graduates who impact global business today.

“Wherever our Kelley graduates eventually settle, they enjoy the reputation of being alumni of a top-tier program, among the best in the country,” said Bonser-Neal, also an associate professor of finance at Kelley Indianapolis.

Kelley’s Indianapolis program is unique because of its strong connection to the epicenter of Indiana commerce and the many corporations that call Indianapolis home. Its downtown campus caters to established professionals who choose to continue their education at an elite business school in their own backyard. In addition, the program provides a flexible structure to cater to the individual needs of working professionals looking to advance their careers by earning a world-renowned education.

The Evening MBA program hosts an enrollment of more than 400, and the students have an average of five years of work experience. The average GMAT score for the most recent students admitted to the program is 622.

The Kelley School of Business enjoys an alumni network of more than 90,000 graduates worldwide.
